Rick and Dick Hoyt

"Eighty-five times he's pushed his disabled son, Rick, 26.2 miles in Marathons. Eight times he's not only pushed him 26.2 miles in a Wheelchair but also towed him 2.4 miles in a dinghy while swimming and Pedaled him 112 miles in a seat on the handlebars--all in the same day.

Dick's also pulled him cross-country skiing, taken him on his back Mountain climbing and once hauled him across the U.S. On a bike. Makes Taking your son bowling look a little lame, right?

And what has Rick done for his father? Not much--except save his life."

I've added some links to my online galleries

Look below the Henderson Band Video. I still have my Zenfolio gallery for another few months, but I'm switching most of my photos to Flickr which will eventually be my main online gallery.

Henderson State University Showband Video

I've added a video of the last portion of the HSU band's warmup last fall just below my "About Me" section. They had a VERY brassy sound. Sorry about the video quality. The video camera I was using doesn't really operate well in low light situations.

McCain's a 'hero' – so what?

"It's disappointing to watch good conservatives demean themselves by trying to present McCain as something he's not. No matter how much they spin, they can't fool conservatives familiar with McCain's record. McCain's detractors are not the ones having to stretch and massage the facts in order to turn McCain – overnight – into a Reagan conservative." David Limbaugh
